Selling vintage online is HARD.

When I started The Rusty Rocker, I thought it would mainly be an online vintage shop. Then I discovered something: Selling vintage online is HARD. Every single piece needs to be photographed, measured, researched, listed, stored, packed... you get the idea.

So I’m taking the leap and doing my first market. And honestly? I’m nervous! If you’ve ever sold at a vintage, craft, or makers market, what’s your best advice for a first-timer?

What should I bring?
What should I avoid?
What did you learn the hard way?
And what do you wish someone had told you before your first one?

Please leave your tips in the comments. I’m taking notes. ❤️

Hi, I'm Cynthia.

I'm the vintage-loving treasure hunter and storyteller behind The Rusty Rocker. What started as a passion for thrift stores, antique shops, flea markets, and small-town adventures has grown into a creative space where vintage treasures and stories come together.

Through curated vintage finds and my Letters from the Road mail club, I share the nostalgia, roadside discoveries, and unexpected moments that make every journey memorable.

I believe every object has a story, every road leads somewhere interesting, and there's still something special about finding a heart-written letter in your mailbox.

Welcome to The Rusty Rocker. Let's hit the road. 🎸📬
